Low Level Laser Therapy
Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT, also known as Cold laser) refers to the medical use of a non-heating, non-cutting laser which emits highly focused light energy into tissues.
It is thought that this energy may produce beneficial effects on tissues, including assisting healing and reducing painful stimuli. There is no known risk to this therapy as long as the eye area is avoided.
The strongest scientific data for LLLT is that showing benefit for neck pain. It may be useful for pain from carpal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis or other localized pains.
